Do you know anything about the cam other than the lift? More specifically do you know the duration or did it come with a cam card? Pull the valve cover and see what casting numbers or even if there is an aftermarket brand name/logo under there. If you aren't sure what is involved in the build I would say do some detective work first. Question: Can I purchase AFR 195 heads and run them both on my current motor to "wake up" and the 383 later on?
